Byzantine / Islamic mosaic glass bead
Date: 7 - 9 century
Mosaic cane glass

Bead's matrix is made up of premanufactured transverse sections of glass canes with concentric light blue/white pattern with blue center.
This bead looks similar to ancient prototype of 5-2 century BCE. However "eyes" are sections of mosaic cane, unlike classical layered (stratified) eyes.     
Intact, good condition.
 
Height 15 mm, diameter 17 mm.
