Roman mosaic bead
Date: 1 century BC- 1 century AD
Mosaic glass
Bead's matrix is formed by folding a premanufactured mosaic strip over a rod. Central band is composed of cane sections of interlocking branches and leaves of the bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), forming a complete circular laurel wreath - a powerful symbol of victory since antiquity.
Intact, very good condition.
Height 8 mm, diameter 10 mm
