Hellenistic gold-foil glass necklace
2-1 century BCE
Eastern Mediterranean or Persia
Composed of compressed spherical beads, all segments of gold-in-glass sandwich tubes, cut and finished by grinding.
All beads are intact, in good condition and few beads with minor cracks or surface loss.
Largest bead: D. 9 mm, H. 8 mm
Necklace is 20" ( 50.8 cm) long (without clasps).
