Hellenistic gold-foil glass necklace
2-1 century BCE
Eastern Mediterranean or Persia
Composed of 30 barrel beads, all formed from the segments of gold-in-glass tubes. Interspersed with segmented gold-glass beads with smooth ends.
All beads are intact, in good condition for its age and few beads with minor cracks.
Largest bead: D. 8 mm, H. 8 mm
Necklace is 18.2" ( 46.2 cm) long (without clasps).
